2024 Season Information

 The red cross lifeguard certification recertification 

 8am - 6pm

To attend the course, you must meet the following criteria: 

1. Have been previously recertified and not expired for more than 60 days
2. Swim 300 yards continuously, using freestyle and breaststroke.
3. Surface dive and retrieve a 10lb brick from at least 8ft deep.
4. Tread water for 2 minutes without using your arms or hands.

The Professional Lifeguard Course covers 3 areas of training:

• Lifeguarding
• First Aid
• PCPR

When you pass the course, you will be re-certified in Lifeguarding, Professional CPR and First Aid for 2 years. All 3 phases must be completed with passing scores to receive your certification. Please make sure that the above criteria are met before signing up for the class. If you cannot pass the course, we will be happy to reschedule your training after you have had some time to practice on your own time. 

 Please make sure you bring your bathing suit (no bikinis), towel, change of clothes, pen, drinks and lunch or lunch money to class with you.

 If you are late to the class you may be turned away and asked to reschedule. Please be on time.

 Registrations are processed Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. Once we receive your registration, we will send you a confirmation email with the information you need for the class.

The red cross lifeguard certification full  course is

 2 days 8am - 6pm both days, plus the 4-6 hours of online portion.

To attend the course, you MUST be able to complete the following at the beginning of the first day:  

1. Be at least 15 years old.
2. Swim 300 yards continuously, using freestyle and breaststroke.
3. Surface dive and retrieve a 10lb brick from at least 8ft deep.
4. Tread water for 2 minutes without using your arms or hands.
5. Have finished the on-line portion of the training

The Professional Lifeguard Course covers 3 areas of training:

• Lifeguarding
• First Aid
• PCPR

When you pass the course, you will be certified in Lifeguarding, Professional CPR and First Aid for 2 years. All 3 phases must be completed in consecutive days with passing scores to receive your certification. Please make sure that the above criteria are met before signing up for the class. If you cannot pass the course, we will be happy to reschedule your training after you have had some time to practice on your own time, we do not offer refunds.

You will also receive an email from the Red Cross that will give you access to the online portion. Check  your spam if you don't receive the emails with in 24 hrs. during the week.

 You need to register for an account with the Red Cross, from the email they sent. The class you have signed up for should be in the "classes I'm taking" section of your account.    

Be aware that there is a NO REFUND POLICY for not being able to pass the class, or for not showing up to a class. If you cannot attend the course we require 24 hours notice for cancellation. 

If you cancel 24 hours prior to the course we can issue a full refund.

Payment is due before the start of class. Please do not come to class without payment, or the online portion complete. 

We reserve the right to cancel any class with 24 hours notice for weather and if minimum attendance of 10 students is not met. If we have to cancel the class, we will issue refunds, or do our best to get you into another class that fits your schedule at no charge.
